Commissioners Brewster and Meers will lead a discussion on organizing Loudon County’s Sesquicentennial (150th) Celebration.

June 23, 2019, 3:00 P.M., Trinity United Methodist Church, Lenoir City: Program by Mr. Norman Shaw, Founder, The Sultana Descendants Association
Loss of the Steamboat Sultana: America’s Worst Maritime Disaster

Mr. Shaw’s presentation will describe the last journey of the Sultana and the factors that led to this terrible tragedy.

August 18, 2019, 3:00 P.M., Trinity United Methodist Church, Lenoir City: Program by Tammy Longworth, Philadelphia Elementary Teacher

The program will be about the Holocaust in Europe before and during World War II.

October 20, 2019, 3:00 P.M., Trinity United Methodist Church, Lenoir City: Program by Ruth Henderson McQueen

Ms McQueen will present the topic “A Most Fascinating and Accomplished Woman” on the life of Mary Jane Mason Preswell, the oldest daughter of Thomas Jefferson Mason of Loudon.
